How to screenshot on any iPad:

1. How do I take a screenshot on my iPad tablet?

Begin by pressing the Sleep/Wake button and then immediately press and release the Volume Up button. The screen should briefly flash and there may be an image capture sound. Your device just captured the entire screen and saved it as an image file.

2. Where can I find the screenshot that I've just taken?

Any screenshots you take will be found in your 'Photos' app.

If the above instructions didn't work and you didn't observe a brief flash with image capture sound, then you may try the following alternative way to capture a screenshot:

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and then immediately press and release the Home button (the big circular thumb button at the middle bottom of an iPad). The screen should briefly flash and there may be an image capture sound.
